HI-to-the-YO! This was a fun show… For those of you confused as to why/how we had TWO shows on Tuesday, June 30th, we had our first ever: LIVE! From the future… DOUBLE BILL! At 8PM, we had Jordan Peele from MadTV, (Episode HERE) and at 9PM, we had Michaela Watkins. First up, it was time for an interactive game with the chatroom: Ikea or Social Networking Site? which was ably handled by the industrious and glamorous Andrea Ball.

Then, it was a quick bit: This week in trash, which included a baby, some discarded random pants and did i mention a baby? We also tried something new with Qik video, and did a lil’ live streaming tour of the studio that culminated with a frosty cold anonymous generic beer from the fridge – all done from Andrea’s iPhone – jailbroken of course.

(Stu and Michaela argue about Scandanavian cinema, Italian politics and supernatural occurences; in that order.)

Then, it was time for Michaela Watkins, who was on set in L.A. filming The Backup Plan with Jennifer Lopez, J.LO, or “Jennifah”, as Michaela likes to call her. We discussed The Groundlings, her impressions of Arriana Huffington and blogger Angie Tempura, and then she laid out a week in the life of SNL.

(Michaela tells us exactly how firm Lorne Michaels’ buttocks is when you grab it from behind. Spoiler alert: VERY FIRM.)

Michaela also told us, in so many words, what is it like to work with Andy Samberg, who is her favorite character, and how she got the call for SNL. She has even has been mispronounced by the legendary Don Pardo: Michaawlia Watson!!!

Finally, we learn that, even if you fail gym in High School, you can still go to L.A. and get on Saturday Night LIVE. Yes, it’s that easy.

Two shows TONIGHT!

I hope you have you seat belt strapped on tight for this one, because it’s going to be a wild ride! We’ve got a LIVE! from the Future first coming up next Tuesday, June 30: TWO EPISODES IN ONE NIGHT!

First up we’ve got the very funny Jordan Peele of MADtv! New York native, Jordan Peele, recently ended his 5 year role as a cast member on the sketch comedy show, MADtv. During his time on the show Jordan became one of the primary contributing writers and enjoyed the freedom to use his imagination. He also did a number of side projects: a movie with Ike and Dave Chappelle (which unfortunately was never released), a cameo in the Weird Al Yankovic video “White and Nerdy,” and even a guest appearance on “Celebrity Poker Showdown” with fellow “MADtv” cast member Keegan-Michael Key. To this day, Jordan still gets a kick out of people who recognize him as “that guy from ‘MADtv’” or “that guy from the Weird Al video.”

Stuart Paap will also welcome up-and-coming actress, Jessica Griffin! She’s got some great stories to share with the audience, quite possibly involving Bruce Springsteen, a Hip-Hop dance lesson, and some Shakespeare. Don’t want to give too much away though…

On Episode 2, which will start at 12am EST // 9pm PST, we’ve got, drumroll please….. SNL’s newest cast member, Michaela Watkins!! Michaela Watkins was born in Syracuse, NY and raised in Boston. She’s an alum of The Groundlings in Los Angeles. She has also appeared on CBS’ sitcom “The New Adventures of Old Christine” for a three-episode arc, playing the patient/girlfriend of Matthew Kimble, played by Hamish Linklater. Michaela is very excited about her new job as a cast member on NBC’s Saturday Night Live and we are so excited to welcome her!

Jessie Schneiderpants will be on vacation, but we’ve got the exciting Andrea Ball filling in on the IM desk! Andrea is a staff writer for VidOpp and Tubefilter. She started her own company Lux New Media, where she produces her own web series.

This is going to be an epically funny night on Live From the Future! We are brimming with comedic talent, it might be too funny. Make sure you’ve got your diaper on because you might just pee a little.

Character Shane Hartline is coming!

Ever wanted to be on Saturday Night Live? Well comedian/filmmaker Shane Hartline is out to make it happen for himself. He’s not going the traditional route however, he’s using the Internet! He’s using his website, SNLorBust.com as the means to achieve his lifelong goal, to get an audition for SNL, and he’ll be joining us on Live! From the Future next Tuesday May 12!

Even though he’s only 22, he’s got 7 years of Improv Experience, and I bet you would never guess that he was an Independent Pro Wrestler for 3 years! He’s also made various appearances on small Television shows, Independent Films, Improv Shows and radio events.

In 2005 he started his own video production company, Wooden Steel Productions through which Shane has produced Comedy Sketches, Live Webcasts and much more with his friends and anyone that wants to be involved!
