Stu News ->Hurtling through space at an alarming rate! Episode 1

Hurtling Through Space at an Alarming Rate! – an absurdist sci-fi comedy series that follows the adventures of Mike Davies Jr. and Stuart Paap.

Hurtling!

These two golf and game-obsessed pop-culture buffs are trapped in their apartment as it’s literally hurtling through space at an alarming rate!

Everything still works; all the comforts of home are remarkably intact. Moreover, friends, family, and even the pizza guy can come and go as they please through the back door – just not Mike and Stuart.

Each episode (6 in total, debuting every Monday on Babelgum.com/htsaaar) finds the apartment landing on an odd planet, often inhabited by slightly meddlesome creatures. Faced with a new predicament, viewers are left to ponder: “Will they get off this planet?”

Schneiderpants

Meet Jessie, your IM girl!

Jessie “Schneiderpants” Schneiderman is the sassy, spunkilicous co-host/IM girl for LIVE! From the future… with Stuart Paap!  Born and raised in Washington, DC, Jessie graduated from the University of Pennsylvania and moved to Los Angeles three years ago to be a comedienne.  She has trained at The Groundlings, Upright Citizens Brigade, Second City and I.O. West, and has performed all over the country.  Jessie does stand-up comedy, improv, hosting and voice over.  She is currently a member of the sketch comedy company Straightjacket Society” and is pretty much just totally hilarious.  All of the time.

Rooftalk

The First Installment

Rooftalk3In an effort to get some laid back fun interviews with show guests and behind the scenes regulars, we have created a series we’re calling Rooftalk. Rooftalk is still evolving, but we’ve scouted out a great location on the roof of the studio. We stealthily sneak up there after the show on Tuesdays for some great interviews in an awesome setting amongst the city lights.

This first post is rather experimental, but Stuart interviewed me, Lauren “Lighting Bolt” Magistro, about how I got into new media and how my experience producing Live! From the Future was going so far:

Rooftalk would not be possible without Lawrence, the talented filmmaker behind The Indian Maiden, who happily hauls out his lights and camera to capture some cool stuff! Thanks Lawrence!

John Fulron

John Fulron… A man for all seasons! Except winter.

John Fulron was born John Dawson Fulton in northern Mass. His life changed two years ago when a Kinko’s employee misspelled his name and he became John Fulron. In Feb. 2007, John was a guest on LIVE! From the future… with Stuart Paap! and was asked to become a permanent member of the team.

John’s turnons include alfredo, running and smoking and turnoffs are when Paap calls more than twice a day.

Check him out at Facebook and Twitter.  Or don’t.

Stu's News

About Stuart and the show… yo.

After performing stand up comedy for a few years, Stuart co-created LIVE! From the future… with Stuart Paap! alongside Founder/CEO of TheStream.TV, Brian Gramo. The show began in Brian’s apartment bedroom on September 26th 2006 with 3 cameras, a shitty backdrop, two mics, one desk and a very willing guest – my good friend, Zach Pollard. 110 episodes later, the guys have upgraded studios twice, and along the way, picked up Jessie Schneiderman on Instant Messages and John Fulron on guitar. The three comedians create a weekly show that is LIVE and interactive dementia! LIVE! From the future… with Stuart Paap!

In addition to stand up, Stuart also hosts a YouTube series I LOVE LA!, has hosted AMC’s Date Night, Biggy TV, AXSP Sportsnight and has done voice over work for movies, commercials, documentaries and appeared in commercials. His stage appearances include the Hollywood, Irvine, Ontario, and Tempe Improvs, the Comedy Underground in Seatlle, Gotham Comedy Club in New York City, the Comedy Connection in Boston, and the Comedy Studio in Cambridge.
