Upcoming: Crystle Lightning and Lisa Jay of Fox’s TEASE and Derek Miller from Secret Girlfriend.

This Tuesday, October 6th we are hosting a threesome of fabulous guests.  If you thought last week was heating up, with The State of Law losing his pants, we thought we would one up ourselves for our loyal fans (hey Telemundo).  All I know is that Stu called me inquiring about a stripper pole…

Joining us from the new Fox pilot and web series Tease, we have Lisa Jay and Crystle Lea Lightning. This original dramedy gives us an inside look at the exotic dancing profession, with Lisa Jay playing Marie, the newbie to the strip club, learning rapidly from the pros like Crystle Lea Lightning.

October 6, 2009

Crystle Lea Lightning, not to be confused with the 5-calorie drink, is a First Nations actress and model.  For those die hard fans of the 3 Ninjas movie series (i.e. my sister) you know her as “Jo” in the 1995 movie 3 Ninjas Knuckle Up. In 2005, she played “Chloe” in the American Pie presents: Band Camp. Her most notable role is her portrayal of soldier Lori Piestewa in Saving Jessica Lynch.

Lisa Jay has been around from Buffy the Vampire Slayer to Everybody Hates Chris. She stars in an upcoming feature film Spring Break ’83, alongside John Goodman and Joey Pantoliano.  When not lighting up the big screen, Lisa participates in humanitarian efforts with the non-profit organization No Kidding, Me Too that works to remove social stigmas related to brain dis-ease.

That is not all folks, we also have Derek Miller from Comedy Central’s Secret Girlfriend premiering Oct. 7th at 10:30pm.   This guy is no stranger to the industry with appearances in Scrubs, Mad TV, and Comedy Central’s Crossballs. Derek was also the creator and star in Fremantle’s hit web series, Every Hipster and Atomic Zoo. You can catch him performing regularly in the critically-acclaimed IO West improvised musical, Opening Night.

The studio is pretty much going to be at maximum capacity once we squeeze in everyone and Stu’s big head.  Don’t miss out.  We promise there is a lil’ sumtin’ sumtin’ for everyone.

If you have any questions for Crystle Lea Lightning, Lisa Jay, or Derek Miller, drop ‘em here!

HGTV’s House Hunter’s Host Suzanne Whang

Make sure you’ve got your diapers strapped on next Tuesday, August 4th, because we’ve got a great show in store for y’all!  Suzanne Whang, actor, comedian, author, and host of HGTV’s #1 show, House Hunters, will be here on Live! From the Future in the flesh. Well in the screen for all you viewers at home…

suzanne_whang

According to her humorous bio:

Suzanne Whang is an actor, television host, stand-up comedian, author, public speaker, dessert topping, and floor wax. She has been paying all of her bills in the entertainment industry for the past two decades. Obviously, she started when she was 3 years old.

As an actor, Suzanne has appeared in numerous television series, including a hilarious recurring role as Polly the oversexed spa manager on Las Vegas, a memorable guest starring role as the young Mrs. Lee on Cold Case, and co-starring roles on Two & a Half Men, Boston Legal, Still Standing, Criminal Minds, Nip/Tuck, The Practice, Strong Medicine, Robbery Homicide Division, Norm, and NYPD Blue. She appears in the Keanu Reeves feature film Constantine as a screaming mother whose daughter is possessed by soldier demons. Don’t you hate when that happens?

As a host, she has been the host of House Hunters, the #1 rated show on HGTV (Home & Garden Television Network) for almost ten years, and you can also see her as the host of the hit spinoff show, House Hunters International. She is currently guest hosting on GSN Live on the Game Show Network.  She had a great time as Dick Clark’s co-host on TV’s Censored Bloopers for NBC, while concurrently co-hosting New Attitudes on Lifetime Television.

As a stand-up comedian, Suzanne won the First Annual ANDY KAUFMAN AWARD at the New York Comedy Festival! She was recognized for her Courage, Creativity, Originality and Humor by the festival judges. This award guaranteed her appearance on Comedy Central’s Premium Blend. She also won Best Up & Coming Comedian at the Las Vegas Comedy Festival, playing her controversial, shocking, and politically incorrect alter-ego, SUNG HEE PARK. The act is a satire of racism in America, reminiscent of Archie Bunker’s character in the phenomenal sitcom, All In The Family.

She has just written her first book, entitled Suzanne Whang’s Guide to Happy Home Buying, which is currently in bookstores across the country and also available on amazon.com! The book uses Suzanne’s lighthearted style and irreverent sense of humor to deliver great information about the home buying process. She also incorporates the law of attraction from quantum physics into the process of manifesting the home of your dreams!

Suzanne is pitching sitcom and feature film treatments, and her goal is nothing short of global domination. Pretty much the only things she doesn’t do: “MARTIAL ARTS, DRY CLEANING, MANICURES, DOG COOKING, TOURIST SNAPSHOTS, & PROGRAMMING THE VCR”

Now if you aren’t excited for Suzanne you may want to see a doctor. As always post questions for her on the message board and be ready for some crazy comedy on Tuesday August 4th at 8pm PST // 11pm EST!

In March of 2005, Conor wrote the pilot for Google Current, the first television program to use internet search data as a way of reporting on world events.   He would go on to host/write/produce the show for the next two years.  After enjoying success stateside, the unique format was spun off into an UK version, which continues to air on Current in the UK and Ireland.  The original US version morphed into what is now infoMania.
